Ava Hope Newton was born on September 15, 1988, to Adam and Madison Newton. Growing up in Las Vegas, Nevada, Ava grew up very sociable. As one of the self-proclaimed “popular girls” in her high school, she was captain of the cheer squad and also ran for class president all four of her years in high school.
Despite her popularity, Ava continued to butt heads with her parents, often causing conflict within the Newton household. In an attempt to shed her “popular girl” image, Ava soon immerses herself in a dark lifestyle filled with drugs and alcohol, often hanging out with the wrong crowd and staying out at all hours of the night.
Character history
In 2012, Ava shows up in Liberty City, New York, following her parents as they relocate to the city. Arriving as angst-ridden as ever, Ava lashes out at her father for abandoning their family and her mother for not attempting to put more of an effort into saving what’s remaining of their broken family. Adjusting to life in Liberty City and eventually seeing the great lengths at which her mother has gone to in making sure her father is truly trapped within an unhappy marriage, Ava decides to remain in Liberty City to reconnect with her father and his new fiancée, Diane Taylor. By 2013, Ava begins to clean up her act and eventually accepts a position as the personal assistant to Courtney Willis at CJ Enterprises. She acts as one of Diane’s bridesmaids during her wedding to Adam. After working closely with Courtney’s boyfriend, Jason, she begins an affair, which eventually leads to her firing as Courtney’s personal assistant, leaving Ava devastated.
