After much speculation and storyline foreshadowing, Bryan Dattilo is set to exit the role of Thomas Lane, a role he has represented since the third season of Liberty City. In the story, Thomas has been in a comatose state following the events of the season four finale; after decision and discussion, Thomas’ wife, Sarah (represented by Arianne Zucker), made the vulnerable decision to end Thomas’ life support. Scenes concerning Thomas’ departure will take place during the serial’s eleventh episode.
