And her time is up! Christie Clark is officially done in the role of Chelsea, as seen in this week’s fifth season premiere of LIBERTY CITY.
In Sunday night’s premiere episode, “V“, Chelsea delivered the final divorce papers to Dustin (Joshua Morrow), and if you were hoping to see Chelsea and Dustin battle it out, your hopes are falsely directed!
“Christie only agreed to return to the serial for one episode,” series creator / executive producer / head scribe Scott Andrews said in an official statement. “We did and still do have hope she’ll decide to return to allow us the time to adventure more into Chelsea’s side of the split but, this was simply not the time.”
Andrews previews that the fallout of Chelsea and Dustin’s divorce will continue to play out, from the primary stand point of Dustin, though, the character of Chelsea will be represented through other forms of contact between the newly-divorced pair. And Chelsea’s exit will also affect other characters on the canvas.
“Chelsea had a job and lasting friendships in Liberty City, so it’s going to change the dynamic for several characters, which is going to be very exciting.”
